"The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention." - Oscar Wild

Our Impact
Water and energy projects have a rippling effect that reaches beyond the basic services of lighting and fresh water.

Small Projects, Big Difference
A solar water pump brings clean water to 200 villagers in Nicaragua; Spring boxes in Ecuador support 350; Biosand water filters in Southern Peru serve 175. A total of 900 of the 884 million people that lack access to disease free water now have fresh water. A difference of .0000001%.
So, what is the point?
One fresh water or clean energy delivery system may be small on a global scale, but to the 900 hundred people who have clean water, to the women who no longer have to get up at 4 am to walk to the nearest clean water source, and the children who can play soccer instead of playing Sherpa, it means the world.

The Right Tools
As America struggles for energy independence, we can too easily forget that billions across the world still do not have reliable electricity or clean water. At Green Empowerment, we recognize that the methods used to alleviate this disparity are nearly as important as the service itself.
Why Water? Why Electricity? Why Watersheds?
