6. Community Connection Tour: International Renewable Resources Institute

@ Tziscao, Chiapas, Mexico: July 25-Aug. 3

Build on your appropriate technology skills while completing needed service projects. Construct a biogas digester, practice solar food drying/cooking, tour rainwater harvesting systems, build a biosand water filter, and tour an organic coffee plantation. Cost: $1200 excluding international airfare to Tziscao. The International Renewable Resources Institute is a recognized leader in Mexico for community-based sustainable development projects. www.irrimexico.org/english.html

International airfare is booked through to Tziscao by the participant – this best accommodates the individual needs of participants coming from all over the US.
