Green Empowerment works with colleges and universities to have student teams, advised by committed faculty, adopt projects in emerging regions of the world. When a college/university adopts a project, students gain hands-on and life changing experiences developing a renewable energy or water system. The full spectrum of a project's development can be explored...and then made reality: from the feasibility study to procuring equipment to fund-raising to construction and then on to the evaluation and monitoring. College and university teams infuse our partners with needed labor, enthusiasm, perspectives, and funds. In return, our partners our better able to provide rural communities throughout the globe with clean, reliable electricity and water free of disease. In many instances, GE can help augment existing courses with assignments, case studies, and presentations on "Renewable Energy for the Developing World." We can develop customized courses and coordinate service projects for the student teams to ensure needed training, assessments, surveys, and system installations are carried out in an effective and professional manner. We work closely with each student team throughout the stages of a project's development. We are able to customize our Technical Training , Portland Internships , and International Placements to meet the needs of our College/University Partnerships. Click here for Fundraising Tips!
