Nicaragua Takeover: Meet the Community Members

Although our projects focus on clean energy and water, the installations have longer-lasting effects on community members. Each system type contributes to healthy lifestyles and can help ease the stresses of living in a remote, rural community. With better access to healthy food, clean water, and a better environment, families can focus more on their education, work, and family life. Here, GE’s Latin America Regional Director, Caitlyn Peake, helps girls in El Jocote to learn vocabulary through art, a process made easier when the girls have full stomachs and reliable access to basic resources.
